The Sky never ceases to amaze me...

GOOD MORNING !!!!!!!

As always let's start the day on a good note...

Today I'm not writing much. I will share with you all some photos of the sky that I took from my old room before moving from there. I should say that the sky looks really wild and beautiful and all of the photos are taken on 18th Feb, 2017 between 17:15 hours and 17:30hours. The sky looked beautiful with the clouds floating and taking different shapes. And I took these photos with my Sony Xperia C5 Ultra Dual Sim smartphone and I'm really impressed by the camera again and again πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

Have you people also kept looking at the sky while it kept moving, floating and changing? Have you been mesmerized by the wild sky? Do let me know what you think about my photos of wild sky...

@ Al Ghurair Center

Good Morning 😊

Let's start our day with a being a little Grateful for all that we have in our life...
I'm thankful that I woke up today and I'm Alive. I also thankful that I have a loving family and quite close friends... There are times when I forget that I'm a lot luckier than many others because of all these blessings, but today I'm thankful for all the people in my life and for the facilities that I have.... I am also thankful for all the love and support that I have.....
Let us be thankful for all the little things we have in our lives.... πŸ’“πŸ™Œ

The below photos are taken with my always buddy smartphone camera- my love my Sony Xperia C5 Ultra Dual sim phone. I'm glad that it turned out well and I hope you people will like it too.

22nd May, 2017 was a happy day for me. I met a dear friend after almost 10 years. I was very happy that he tried to find me, while I was trying to play the hide and seek game. I had my own very reasons to stay away from him and he had his reasons to find me. Finally we met and resolved a lot of misunderstandings and confusions. At least that's what I think. I hope he too thinks that way. We met and had some food and cold drinks. We walked around Al Ghurair Center and then parted ways. I took the below photos while leaving and I was happy I found the whole place beautiful. It has been a long long time since I went to Al Ghurair Center and the place have been renovated and expanded some time back. It looks nowhere to the place that I have in my memories from few years back. The renovated shopping mall looks so very vibrant and lively with a lot of people all over the area, lots of branded shops, food court, cinema area and much more.

I liked the interior of the mall and you know the kind of happy-happy feeling when you get to see the beautiful sky through large glass ceiling in an oval shape. The sky just looks beautiful however or wherever it is...

These photos are nothing special, but just what I happened to capture around that time there. Let me know what you think. I look forward to meet my Special Friend again...

Guys I'm sure many of you have been to this place. What do you think of this shopping mall? Have you noticed the sky through this oval glass ceiling? Were you ever lost in thoughts looking at the sky from here. Shall we share our experience here? I would like to hear from you all...

Ban Khun Mae (MOE)- Food TryOut

Hey Guys ✋,

Today let's have some Food ThoughtsπŸ—πŸšπŸ—πŸ–πŸ—πŸšπŸšπŸš
All I can see is food today 😝😝😝

One fine day when I decided to meet my friend in Mall of Emirates- Al Barsha I was not sure what we should eat. I kind of searched and thought we should try some Thai food. Upon searching more I found about Ban Khun Mae

Ban Khun Mae is a Thai food outlet in food court on Level 1 of Mall of Emirates. It was kind of of a little late lunch around 5:00pm on June 11, 2017. The counter was quite empty while other food counters were busy even though it was Ramadan. Since I have already planned it I thought we should go with Ban Khun Mae itself. I never imagined it was going to be disappointing and such a wastage of food. I'm not really sure how there is so many good reviews on Zomato; maybe we were just unlucky that day !!

Well let's get started with our Food Thoughts...

We ordered the following dishes from them:
1) KhaoPad Goong - Thai style fried rice with egg and shrimps
2) KhaoPad Gai -  Thai style fried rice with egg and chicken
3) Khao Naew Nuae - Deep fried dried beef served with chilli sauce and steamed sticky rice
4) Sprite - medium

Price: It seemed quite on the higher side, compared to how the food tasted.

Service : We placed the order and was told to wait for 10 mins. I think we waited for around 10-15 mins only for the food. Not sure why they asked us to wait, when the food that was served was really cold. It was not freshly prepared or anything.

Order bill

Overview of our order

KhaoPad Gai -  Thai style fried rice with egg and chicken
Out of all the 3 dishes we tried KhaoPad Gai was the only one we both liked. The garnishing looks attractive but it was kind of bland. But still better than the other 2 dishes. The food was really cold even though they served it fast.
Rice was cooked well, but it didn't quite seem like it was fried. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Quantity was quite filling too.

KhaoPad Gai -  Thai style fried rice with egg and chicken

KhaoPad Goong - Thai style fried rice with egg and shrimps
The way they presented the dish is attractive and that's all to it. It smelled really fishy. I agree it had shrimps, but the fish smell was too strong to handle. I'm not so sure if this is how it is supposed to be 😲😲😲.
Quantity was sufficient and rice was cooked to perfection, but it definitely didn't tasted like fried rice. Shrimps was not cooked well and on the whole it was a waste to order this dish. We only ate a few spoons and rest directly to πŸ—‘πŸ—‘πŸ—‘.

Khao Naew Nuae - Deep fried dried beef served with chilli sauce and steamed sticky rice
I liked this dish, but my friend didn't like. I liked the beef sprinkled with sesame seeds and the sticky rice too. It was a bit difficult to chew the deep fried beef. If only it was a bit hot it would have tasted great. Atleast this is what I felt. But the portion was quite filling.
And the chilli sauce didn't smell anything like chilli and it was kind of all oily. Rather than being spicy it was sour and I didn't like the oily smell.

Now the Overall Rating (On a scale of 5)
Price : 3 / It's affordable, but on the higher side compared to the quality of the food we ate.
Quality/Taste : 2 / Not Satisfied (I would like to think that we were unlucky on that specific day and seeing all those positive reviews on Zomato, I would like to give myself another chance to try their other dishes).
Quantity : 4 / Sufficient
Serve time : 4 / Wait time mentioned was 10 mins and we were served within 10-15 mins
Display : 3.5 / Attractive
Recommend : 3 / I'm not so sure about recommending. I can only tell after I try other dishes from them.

Eid Staycation- September 2015

Hey Friends 😊,

I hope all is well with all of you. I'm doing good too.

Guys do you remember my post about First ever Eid Staycation? Here is the link if you haven't seen it yet.
Guys you know what, we chose the very same place- Emirates Grand Hotel Apartments again for our next Eid holidays and stayed there from 23/09 to 25/09, 2015 for 2 nights.

NOTE: THIS IS NOT A SPONSORED POST AND ALL THE CONTENTS ARE PURELY BASED ON OUR EXPERIENCE ONLY.

Let's move on to the review part straight away.

1) This time while booking we didn't think much and right away we booked with EGHA directly and they gave us good rates too. Compared to hotel booking sites we got best rates inclusive of Breakfast and Free Wi-Fi for a Studio apartment (for double occupancy).

2) We had requested for a room on higher floor- 15th floor or above with balcony facing Sheikh Zayed Road, with a view to Burj Khalifa. When we checked-in Mr. Amar at the front-desk provided us with a room on 15th floor and our requests were accepted very well too; providing us a room with balcony facing Sheikh Zayed Road and a good view to Burj Khalifa.

3) The room was spacious, clean, neat, comfortable and big bed, extra pillows in the cupboard, soft lighting and bed side tables and lamps.

4) There was a single sofa on the corner with a tea table, wall fixtures, in-built wardrobes, ironing facilities, laundry bags, slippers etc.

5) The room had a fully equipped pantry area with oven, kettle, tea-coffee making supplies, enough cups and saucers, glasses, cooking vessels, bowls, plates, washing machine, stove etc. All the items were neat and clean and placed well. 2 free bottles of water was available at check-in and they charge for additional water bottles.

6) Alongside the pantry there was a small dining table with 2 high chairs, a refrigerator on the corner and dust bins.

7) There was a dressing table facing the bed and a TV mounted to the wall alongside the mirror. Underneath the dressing table there was power outlets to place and charge gadgets.

8) Fully equipped pantry area with Jug, bowls, plates, vessels, spoons, forks, knife set, kettle, toaster, tea/coffee making supplies, power outlets etc.

9) In-built wardrobe near to the room entrance.

10) Bathroom was fitted with shower and curtain, clean closet, fitted hair dryer, weighing scale, toiletries and ample face and bath towels.

Since we were all set to go outside and have fun, we forgot to take photos of the food and from their restaurant. Sorry for that guys πŸ˜”

Overall Rating of the Property, Facilities and Location: 4.5 out of 5.

Will I recommend this Property: Yes, I definitely recommend this property. If you are travelling as group of 4 or more people this property would be the best. They have different room options available ranging from Studio apartments to Two/Three Bedroom Apartments.

Kindly check with the hotel directly for their best offers. You can always do a comparison check through other sites like Booking.com, Tripadvisor.com, Dnatatravels.com, Agoda.com and many others. Good luck in locking a great deal πŸ‘.

Just incase you want to contact the hotel directly below is their details and make sure to mention that you are checking about Emirates Grand Hotel Apartments; because they have another hotel on the opposite side of this property named Emirates Grand Hotel. So inorder to avoid any confusions and issues mention EGHA.

Falling in love with each step...

Hi Guys 😊,
Let's start the day with some Love...

As I saw them walking I thought being in love is a wonderful thing... Falling in love with each and every step, it should be a divine feeling... Walking in the same direction and looking at the same direction... this must be love...

Did I forget how it was being in love? Maybe I was not so deep in loving someone? Maybe someone failed in their love for me? Why do I have an empty feeling?

This feeling called LOVE did I lose it somewhere around in my journey? What if I'm exhausted with all those dramas around me? Did I let go of it somewhere along the path? I'm not so sure. It's just that I feel lost...

Another version of my street clicks (Can this be counted as street photography??). Experts and newbies in this genre kindly let me know your thoughts on this. I know I have to work hard on this...

Once upon a time...

Once upon a time...

there was a bridge like this near my home.

Crossing this bridge was frightening as it would shake with every step, but still exciting. During heavy rains when the water level of the river rises this bridge would be swept away with the water flow and the people will have to rebuild it again.

Now this bridge is a memory to all of us because now a high, mighty and wide concrete bridge stands here instead of this wooden bridge.

Red Rooster- Food TryOut

Hey All πŸ˜‰,

How are you all?

Today is a FOOD THOUGHTS DAY πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‹πŸ˜›πŸ˜†

I'm a person who really really doesn't like to carry lunch bags to office and I have been like this ever since I started working. I'm not really the type of person who goes around carrying lunch bags. Instead I would prefer to carry my camera bag and backpack 😈

When I'm really really hungry I order food delivery and 06/July/2017 happened to be such a Hungry Day. I was not sure what I really wanted to eat. All I could think of was ordering something very spicy. Zomato came to my help and after searching for quite some time I decided to try the food from RED ROOSTER Fried Chicken and Peri-Peri, Satwa. The photos of their food capture my attention and the colors of spiciness attracted me to try to their food.

I ordered the following dishes from them:
1) Peri-Peri Quarter Meal
2) Mozzarella Sticks

Price: As you can see from the below order bill the food is not expensive and the quantity is good too. When the restaurant made the delivery they made sure to keep their menu with my order and it was quite thoughtful of them.

Delivery: If you zoom on the below order bill you can see the order time as 11:53am or so (Imagine how hungry I was to order around that time. Ohh !! so embarassing.. Well it's food after all. Never mind anything else). And the delivery time mentioned was 60 minutes and it was expected to be delivered around 12:58pm. I understand 60 minutes and it might take some time coming from Satwa to Downtown, but the food was delivered at 1:26 pm to be exact. I kind of lost my appetite waiting for the food.

Furthermore the food had really cooled down when it got delivered.

As you can see below are the photos of the food that I ordered.

Peri-Peri Quarter Meal : It contains a Quarter Peri-Peri grilled chicken, 1 bowl of rice, Peri-Peri sauce and a cool drink ( mine is 7UP).

Grilled chicken was oily and you could see oil around the container. It was tasty, but rather than being Spicy it was too much Salty. Even though I ordered it to be Exta Hot, it was not spicy. I don't think I will order this dish again.
Peri-Peri sauce was kind of sour and had chilli flakes. Not at all to my liking.

The yellow colored rice had the taste of noodles. You know the taste of instant noodles and the same kind of color too. Even though it said it has vegetables, but I could hardly find any vegetables in there. NO NO Again.

Can you see the oil around the container? Only part of the grilled chicken looks dry, but its oily.

Next up is the Mozzarella Sticks. The outer crust looks quite tempting and golden brown. But it was really hard and the cheese hardened as well. This too was too much Salty to eat.

Now the Overall Rating (On a scale of 5)
Price : 4 / Affordable and not expensive
Quality/Taste : 2 / Not Satisfied (If I happened to visit this restaurant, I would like to try their other dishes)
Quantity : 4 / Sufficient
Delivery : 2 / Delayed
Packing : 3.5 / So-so and normal
Recommend : 2.5 / I'm not so sure about recommending. But it is affordable.
